Tuition & Scholarship

Tuition

$1,425 USD

The fee includes: 4 private lessons with your assigned teacher, 2 two hour studio classes with your teacher, 4 chamber music coachings with assigned coach plus 2 “performance classes” for your ensemble, access to participate in Masterclasses, rehearsals with our collaborative pianist, admission to all faculty & student concerts, festival activities, 3 meals a day and Wi-Fi access at the Festival House.

Scholarships

A limited number of Talent-Based and Work-Study scholarships are available. We also highly encourage you to seek out financial assistance from your local churches, schools, governments, universities, and community organizations.



Talent-Based Scholarships

Talent-Based Scholarships are a performance track program at Festival del Lago designed for students with an advanced performance level who would like additional structured practice time and performance opportunities. Earning a talent-based scholarship will involve additional performing and teaching obligations. Please be aware that the standard we expect is very high.


To apply for a Talent-Based Scholarship, you must send us an email to dellagofestival@gmail.com titled Talent-Based Scholarship Application with the following:


  1. Participants must send a CV/Resumé.
  2. Participants must send a detailed letter of their qualifications/abilities to perform one of the work studies available below. State:
    • Why you would be a good fit for one of the areas of the Talent-Study program,
    • Your level of talent and work experience in the chosen area, and
    • Why we should award this scholarship to you.
  3. Two letters of recommendation from your private teacher(s)/instructor(s) and/or work(s) supervisor(s) are required to be considered.
  4. List your top 3 choices of Talent-Study Areas you’d be qualified to perform on the level of preference and experience. Consideration for a Talent-Study Scholarship will be assigned based on the level of talent in the selected Talent-Study area.
  5. Submit proof of experience in the chosen Talent-Study area (photos, videos, recordings, work/professional portfolio, work experience, social media work, etc.).
  6. Participants will be expected to perform all tasks of their assigned Talent-Study Area by their Talent-Study Supervisor, in addition to that of the Festival Program requirements (attend private lessons, chamber ensembles, masterclasses, concert series, student events, etc.).
  7. An in-person, Zoom, or phone interview is required.
  8. Students are accepted on a rolling basis.



Work-Study Scholarship

Work-Study Scholarships are a production and music business track program at Festival del Lago designed for students with an interest in the Music Business field, and are based on a combination of current talent level, potential, and ability to perform an academy task while being a full-time Festival del Lago participant.


To apply for a Work-Study Scholarship, you must send us an email to: dellagofestival@gmail.com titled Work-Study Scholarship Application with the following:


  1. Participants must send a CV/Resumé.
  2. Participants must send a detailed letter of their qualifications/abilities to perform one of the work studies available below. State:
    • Why you would be a good fit for one of the areas of the Work-Study program,
    • Your level of talent and work experience in the chosen area, and
    • Why we should award this scholarship to you.
  3. Two letters of recommendation from your private teacher(s)/instructor(s) and/or work(s) supervisor(s) are required to be considered.

Work-Study Scholarship available areas at Festival del Lago:

To be considered for a Work-Study Scholarship you must possess the following basic qualifications: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Be friendly, energetic, and have a positive attitude. Be a proactive and a creative team player. Confident to work alone with little supervision. Ability to prioritize and work under pressure with good time management. Flexibility. Passionate about live performance chamber music, and the arts in general. Ability to take directions from supervisor.


* Box Office & Merchandise Assistant - Tend box office at all concert series of Festival del Lago, manage and reconcile cash box at end of shift, create and maintain records of everyday transactions, prepare sales journals on everyday basis. Specific Qualifications: previous experience of cash handling procedures, attention to details. Reports directly to General Festival Manager.


* Events and Concerts Host/Hostess - Reports directly to General Festival Manager.


* General Festival Manager Assistant - Assist GFM in all Festival’s admin, artistic, and production needs. Specific Qualifications: Ability to multitask, lead and take initiative. Ability to create a variety of reports. Be able to supervise and work well with others. Previous experience of cash handling procedures, attention to details. Reports directly to General Festival Manager.


* Festival Photographer - Reports directly to General Festival Manager.


* Production & Artistic Student Assistant - Reports directly to Production & Artistic Manager.


* Social Media Assistant - Reports directly to General Festival Manager.


* Stage Manager Assistant - Reports directly to Production & Artistic Manager.


* Tech Assistant - Reports directly to Production & Artistic Manager.


* Video & Sound Recording Engineer - Reports directly to Associate Festival Director.


Deadlines

All Scholarship application materials, including the Academy Application and supplemental materials (additional documentation, letters of recommendation, etc.) must be received by April 1st.


Review

A Scholarship Committee will review the Academy Application and Scholarship Application and make an award decision. If the applicant receives an award, this amount will be communicated with your acceptance letter, and if accepted, will be applied to the account after submitting the applicant's deposit.


To be considered for these scholarships, applicants must complete the following steps:


  1. Submit the Academy application.
  2. Send an additional Scholarship email as described above. [Please give us 10-15 business days to review your application before we get back to you.]
  3. You will receive an acceptance notification via email. Upon acceptance, you will be asked to submit your deposit to attend the Festival del Lago.
  4. If the applicant receives a scholarship award, this amount will be communicated with your acceptance letter and, if accepted, will be applied to the account after submitting the applicant's deposit.
  5. Prior to the program, you will be expected to submit the required forms (Liability Waiver, Covid-Risk Waiver, Health Form, etc.) and pay the full balance of your tuition. All required forms must be submitted by June 1st. There is a $100 Late Fee charged for required forms submitted after June 10th. A participant will not be permitted to attend if any of the forms are incomplete.


Housing Security Deposit

We require a $150 USD housing security deposit that will be returned to the student the day before their departure on the condition that there was no damage done to the room or apartment. Students or parents will ultimately be responsible for loss or damage that exceeds the $150 security deposit.
