Our meals are prepared by a wonderful chef who has been cooking at our winter Northern Lights Festival de Febrero for over 10 years. He regularly cooks at 4 and 5-star restaurants, and we feel very lucky to have him. His team of sou chefs help him to create three fantastic meals a day for the students and faculty at the festival.HOMESTAY PROGRAM
Program Details:
Students have the option to choose between renting an AirB&B or hotel in town or applying for our homestay program to receive free accommodation. If you choose to be part of our homestay program, you must adhere to the House Rules outlined below and tell us a little bit about yourself. Please carefully review these rules before completing your application. All students will be given a package on arrival that will include a map of the village, a schedule of events and classes, as if you participate in the homestay program, a key to your hosts', and you’ll be able to come and go, as you please. All host homes are within a 1.5 km radius from the Festival House.

Please describe what you intend to get of out the Festival del Lago experience and why you would make a good candidate for our homestay program.
House Rules:
- Curfew: Students must return to their host home by 12:00 am each night, with the exception of 4 "free nights" scheduled by the festival when the curfew is extended until 2:00 am.
- Respectful Behavior: Students are expected to treat their host home and belongings with respect. This includes avoiding loud noises, refraining from smoking, and preventing any behavior that could damage property or disturb other residents.
- Cleanliness: Students are responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy room and bathroom. This involves making their bed, disposing of trash properly, and organising personal belongings.
- Communication: Clear and timely communication between your host and the festival staff is required if there are to be any deviations from the normal schedule.
- Guests: Students must obtain their host's permission before inviting guests over. Students are responsible for their guest's behaviour while in the host home. Any non-festival participants are strictly prohibited from being invited to the host home.
- Safety: Students must follow all safety rules and regulations, including locking windows and doors. Bringing weapons or dangerous items into the host home is strictly forbidden.
- Drugs and Alcohol: The use of illegal drugs and underage drinking are strictly prohibited at the festival and within the host home.
- Internet and Technology: Students must use the host's internet and technology responsibly, following the host's rules.
- Participants are required to follow all homestay program rules. Repeated breaches of rules will result in expulsion from the homestay program.
- If a participant is expelled they must find accommodation in a hotel or AirB&B at their own expense.
